Rumours are rife that the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai may star opposite Aamir Khan in the latter’s next home production.

The colossal debacle of pre-independence saga The Rising has doomed many hopes. Aamir is also the one who got affected from its dismal show. The actor played protagonist Mangal Pandey and thus has hibernated himself for four years.

Ash was supposed to play the role of Bengali widow Jwala in the film but somehow it could not materialize.

After the success of Lagaan Aamir had decided to produce another film under his banner.

Like ‘Lagaan’ the film will be period film set in the backdrop of pre-independence era and the shooting of the film is expected to start next year.
