
Prakash Jha’s latest movie Apaharan will open a forthcoming festival of Indian films in Israel.
After winning critical acclaim at the IFFI, Goa, Jha’s film is now headed for Israel.
The movie will inaugurate The Film Festival of India that will be held from January 5 to 18 in Israel, next year.
As learnt, eight Indian films, some of them in regional languages, will be screened at the festival.
Among the mainstream Bollywood films are Apaharan and Mangal Pandey The Rising (to be screened on January 7).
On the opening day, the movie’s actors, Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar , will accompany Prakash Jha , for the film’s screening.
Starring Devgan, Bipasha Basu and Patekar in the lead roles, Apaharan takes a look at the spate of kidnappings in Bihar.
