Has khiladi Akshay Kumar joined the Big B’s family? Yes, it looks so. After all, Akshay has been doing a number of movies with Big B. No, that doesn’t qualify him to be a member of the Bachchan parivar. But, the facts reveal that Akshay has indeed joined the Big B’s family because he is playing a hero in his ‘Family’. This is to recall that the Akshay and Amitabh’s relationship of a son and father has attracted wide acclaim from the viewers. Both began their father-son roles in Sunil Darshan’s ‘Rishta –The Bond of Love’.

Last year, they repeated it in Vipul Shah’s ‘Waqt’. Besides, Akshay and Amitabh have also worked together in ‘Aankhein’ and ‘Khakee’ and not in the distant past; while the former movie didn’t fare very well at the box office, the latter did meet with a roaring success. Then, both were seen together in Anil Sharma’s ‘Ab Tumhare Hawale Vatan Saathiyon’. However, they didn’t play father- son roles in these movies. This shows that they have already acted together in five movies and would soon work together in ‘Family’ as their sixth one. Though the viewers have accepted Akshay as a member of the Bachchan family, yet the family is yet to accept Akshay in its fold.
