JOHN ABRAHAM got a fair share of attention at the premiere of DEEPA MEHTA’s ‘Water’ at the Toronto Film Fest. The young hunk sat with the likes of TIM BURTON, ANTHONY HOPKINS and many others in the same patio area. Some Hollywood-ians even mistook him for a Spanish actor and complimented his understated performance and look in the film. John, commendably and proudly, stuck to his Indian identity.
When a scribe asked LISA RAY, “After playing frivolous roles in Bollywood, how does ‘Water’ feel?� Pat replied John, “If Bollywood was this frivolous, I wouldn’t be at the Toronto Film Festival for an Indian film and you wouldn’t be at the press conference covering the film!� Kudos John!
