There was a time when either U.S. locations or the Swiss Alps were the prime locations when it came to shooting Bollywood films abroad. But not anymore.
If we look in the recent past, number of films are being shot at diverse locations with Mauritius (along with London) turning out to be hot favorite when it comes to fun youthful flicks. Last year David Dhawan’s ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ was prominently shot in Mauritius. This was followed by Romesh Sharma’s ‘Dil Jo Bhi Kahey’ that had its entire plot based out of Mauritius.
This year’s biggest blockbuster ‘No Entry’ too had some of its key sequences shot in Mauritius. And if this is not all, Emraan Hasmi’s upcoming ‘Jawani Diwani’ too is based on babes, bikinis and beaches - all on the Mauritian beaches.
Seems Mauritius is soon turning out to be a home out of home for Hindi movies.
