Is it just a mere coincidence that Priyanka Chopra has replaced Aishwarya Rai in three films?

Not everybody knows that Aishwarya was the first choice to be Abhishek Bachchan ’s heroine in Rohan Sippy’s Bluffmaster . But the role eventually went to Priyanka. In fact, Ash was quite upset when she was told that she was replaced with Priyanka just days before she was to shoot for the movie.

But this was not the first time Priyanka had taken Ash’s place. The Chopra girl had earlier lapped up the meaty role opposite Hrithik Roshan in Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish. In this movie, too, Ash was the first choice for heroine.

Besides these two movies, Priyanka has also replaced Ash in Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam.

Priyanka says she is not following any planned strategy to wrest away projects from Ash, as some gossipmongers would make out to be.

“It is not that I go to people and tell them I want her (Ash’s) roles. The fact is that none is indispensable in the industry. If she hasn’t got the dates, then someone else has to do the job. If it happens to be me, what is wrong in that? I have nothing against Ash,� Priyanka is quoted as saying.

Priyanka added that she, in fact, called Ash after replacing her in ‘Bluffmaster’. But somehow she couldn’t get through.

On the other hand, Ash’s secretary, Hari Singh, has told a news agency that the actress is not worried about Priyanka replacing her in a number of projects.

“I wish Priyanka the best of luck in her endeavour but Ash needn’t worry about people replacing her,â€? Singh is quoted by IANS.

And guess what? The latest rumour has it that Priyanka is all set to replace Ash in another movie – Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s Prithviraj Samyukta.

Well, it looks like a game of musical chairs with Priyanka gaining what Ash cannot commit to.
