Bollywood News| Actors, Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan fans got a Christmas gift on Saturday evening when the Bollywood star performed live for the first time in the capital.

More than 15000 Delhiites gathered at the Indira Gandhi stadium to watch their favourite actors perform and sway to the beat of King Khan.

He led the brigade of five top Bollywood actors in the Temptation-2005 mega concert, hosted by National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People.

Rani Mukherjee, Esha Deol, Zayed Khan and Priyanka Chopra accompanied him, but it seemed that the crowd could not get enough of the Badshah.

Parking problems

However, the fun inside the stadium was in stark contrast to the chaos outside.

The Delhi Police had made alternative parking arrangements at Ram Lila Maidan for those who had the lesser-priced tickets, but that was five kilometres away from the main venue.

A large number of people, who had thronged the stadium to see their favourite star in action, were disappointed with the management over the parking problems.

“We have bought tickets worth Rs 1000 each and nowhere on the tickets does it mention that there are categories for it, or that those in one thousand category have to park at the Ram Lila Maidan. This has really caused a lot of confusion,” said Anuradha Sharma, a Shah Rukh fan.

The traffic jams on Vikas Marg, Ring Road and Raj Ghat also added to the woes.
