After having won Salman Khan’s heart, it seems Katrina Kaif has got the nod from his family as well. The family’s acceptance of the actress was evident when Katrina joined the Khan-daan for a football party organised at the Khan residence. While there, she was seen bonding with the family, where she helped Alvira serve dinner and joined Arbaaz, Sohail, and Malaika in the revelry.

“Salim uncle is an ardent soccer lover. Films and football are a passion for him. For the football matches, he had organised a large screen at his place,� says a source. Salim had invited all his close friends to view the finals and there was a huge celebration for the winning team. “Keeping Katrina company did not mean that Salman did not enjoy the match. He was cheering for both the teams,� says a source. Although Salman is not a football fan, he took interest in the final game just to make his parents and family happy.

Amidst all this revelry, Katrina took time to play the perfect host to guests; confirming the family’s approval of Salman’s choice.

The high point of the evening was the food. “It was a lavish dinner, as always. Whenever Salim uncle throws a party at his place, he ensures that the food is excellent,� says a source. They menu included mutton briyani and plenty of starters. Salman, who loves home-cooked food was seen gorging into the starters and biryani, along with Katrina.

When we tried to contact her for comment, Katrina refused to take our call. Finally, someone answered the phone and said on the actress’ behalf, that Katrina did not wish to comment on this.
