Being Cyrus is different and how. First-time director Homi Adajania definitely deserves a pat on the back for his guts to make such an unusual movie, and to make it well. However, quiz actors Saif Ali Khan and Naseeruddin Shah about how they worked on their Parsi character and they both said it wasn’t a very big deal. Saif explained, “We weren’t so much Parsi. The situation and ambience was so Parsi that it wasn’t important for the actors to bring out those typical characteristics like the accent and all that.�


Naseer was of a similar opinion and said that the Parsi characteristics were very subtle and more understood because of the Parsi set-up. “Especially my character in the movie is very low-profile,� he said. So, the actors were quite themselves while shooting for this whodunit. And they weren’t complaining.
