Bollywood megastar Gulshan Grover looks set to land the role of the villain in the next James Bond film which will see ‘Enduring Love’ star Daniel Craig star as Bond for the first time.
Grover has already hit Hollywood, starring in ‘Jungle Book II’ and ‘Bride and Prejudice’ and now looks set to make it even bigger by becoming the baddie in ‘James Bond: Casino Royale’ due out at the end of 2006.
Grover told UNI, ”There are strong chances that I may get to play the villain in the bond film “Casino Royale.
“Although at present, the character of the villain in ‘Casino Royale is that of Le Chiffre, the French agent who battles 007 in the original Ian Fleming book, the Broccoli siblings, the producers of James Bond series, have hinted that they might replace Le Chiffre with an Asian/Arab character based loosely on Osama bin Laden, a wealthy Islamic fundamentalist who provides funding for terrorism. This definitely enhances my chances of bagging the villain’s role in the film.”
