Superman Returns — the first and the original superhero — is back on the small screen on June 30, after 20 years.
Rakesh Roshan claims that Krrish is the first-ever Indian superman and Hrithik Roshan is India’s interpretation of Superman! Now the definition of a superhero (which is a western term) is a mortal who has superhuman powers — that he uses to save people.
He has a normal mortal self and a self that transforms when he uses his power. And usually no one knows of his identity.
So how can we forget Anil Kapoor, who was the first-ever Indian superhero with Shekhar Kapur’s Mr India that was released in 1987. Coincidentally, the last Superman film was also released in India in 1987 around the same time as Mr. India.
The Superman franchise is coming back after 20 years with Superman Returns and coincidentally, so is Krissh — the second Indian Superhero. Now what do our heroes have to say?
