Looks like Farhan Akhtar’s production, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. has got its first cancellation. According to news reports, John Abraham who was earlier part of the film, has opted out of it due to date problems. According to John, his schedule for Ravi Chopra’s Babul is going haywire because of which he is forced to reconsider his commitments. John has emphasized that his first priority is Babul.

Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. is Farhan Akhtar’s first outing as producer for a film which he himself is not directing. The film will be directed by his assistant Reema Katgi and will be co-produced by his partner Ritesh Sidhwani.

The film is reported to be a road journey featuring six couples traveling from Mumbai to Goa on a holiday. According to Ritesh Sidhwani, there was no contract signed with John Abraham. Also, since the film has 12 different characters of equal importance, there is no lead character as such.

So there is no reason for the film to be affected by John’s decision. Ritesh told the press that Ameesha Patel, Shilpa Shetty, Minissha Lamba, Abhay Deol, Kay Kay Menon, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Shourie, Sandhya Mridul and Boman Irani have been signed on for the project.
