Pop singer Mika accused of molesting actress Rakhi Sawant was today granted bail by a local session court here.

Mika who has been booked under Sec 354 and Sec 323 of the IPC for outraging the modesty of a woman has been ordered to report to the Oshiwara Police twice a week for a month.


The court, while granting bail to Mika, ordered that he could be released on paying Rupees 20,000 and a surety of a similar amount in the event of his arrest.

Coming out of the court Mika refused to make any comment on the issue and said: “I don’t want to remember the incident and also don’t want to talk about it. I have got bail and right now I am going Hazi Ali to thank Godâ€?.

Mika’s forcible kissing of Rakhi during his birthday party on the night of June 10 grabbed headlines as Rakhi also accused Mika of hitting his brother and friends that led to him being booked under Sec 506 (2) of the IPC , a non-bail able offence.

However, the court granted bail to him as the first two charges were bail able offences and that Mika had promised to cooperate with the police.
