New Delhi: A saree is sexy and a wet saree - well that’s even better.

What is rain without an actress in a wet saree in Bollywood? The wetter the saree the sexier it is.

Think wet saree and the colour white automatically comes to mind. The two go together like nothing else does - though red is a serious contender.


And then there is green - the green wet saree that will make you green with envy - because not everyone can carry off a wet green saree gracefully.

Where there is a wet saree, there is bound to be an umbrella - clearly not used well enough for the Bollywood sarees tend to get pretty wet.

The umbrella makes an early guest appearance in the rain sequence but eventually changes hands so that that saree can get wet.

And if there is no one to pass the umbrella on to, Mother Nature can always oblige by helping it fly off in that one strong gust of wind.

Once the rain hits, it’s clearly time for that exaggerated song and dance sequence.

But not everyone can carry off a wet saree. One needs a ‘fab-a-dab’ figure, the kind that one gets by doing hundred of those good old side crunches daily.

And of course, a rain sequence in a saree - how can Bollywood allow such a romantic opportunity to go by without a bit of kissing, necking and the hand on that fab-a-dab kamar?

However, sometimes there can be natural glitches to you getting wet - like no rain!

But fear not. Just walk over to the nearest waterfall - one that has plenty of rocks - perch underneath and get that wet wet feeling.

Well the fun can’t last forever. The scene is over and the rain has abated and it’s finally time to dry up.

Use a natural blow dryer - the wind - to dry that gorgeous saree and if that doesn’t work, well just take the damn thing off!
