Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has taken over the popular pub Poison in Bandra. The pub was closed down on Independence Day last year. It was shut down because it continued to serve alcohol till the morning of August 15.

“The occasion was actor Ashish Choudhury’s sangeet bash, which was attended by several Bollywood celebrities and media persons. During the sangeet cops barged in and stopped the party, and sealed off the pub,â€? informs an actor who was present during the sangeet. The earlier owner tried to convince the police authorities to relent, but failed.


Finally, Sanju decided to take over the pub. “He is good businessman,� says our source. “This place has been very popular. Sanju is fond of places where he can hang around with his gang. The pub will be open for public, but it is likely that Sanjay might use it for music releases and other promotional purposes.�

It took nearly a year for Sanjay Dutt to reopen the pub. “He has got all the paper work done and yesterday the pub was inaugurated,â€? says our source. “It’s a very popular joint among film stars, especially those living in Bandra.â€?

Sanjay Dutt and his close friends were seen partying there last night. “Although it rained last night, Sanju’s friends were present at the venue to enjoy the World Cup football match,â€? says our source.
