Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is not disappointed by the ouster of his movie Paheli from the Oscar race.

Many a hopes were dashed on Tuesday when the two Indian entries ‘Paheli’ and ‘Morning Raga’ did not figure in the list of Oscar nominees. Much was expected from ‘Paheli’ since it was chosen over other critically acclaimed films like Black and Swades .

But despite all the lobbying, ‘Paheli’ could not make it to the list of nominees.

Reacting to the movie’s ouster, Shahrukh said in an interview with the NDTV news channel that he was still proud of his work.


“If it could have happened through a film that I was associated with, it would have made be doubly proud. It makes me proud anyway…I am not disappointed,� the King Khan said.
