California Governor and Hollywood super star Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife is in the Capital.

While it may sound like a bit far fetched, but she has been talking on women’s issues.

Wife of the original ‘Terminator’ Arnold Schwarzenegger and the First Lady of California, Maria Shriver met with the members of the of the National Commission for Women in the Capital on Thursday in her first time visit to the country.


“I came here to talk about the incredible work the commission of women is doing here in India. As first lady of California I’m concerned with women’s issues and furthering the causes of women. More than that it is just a casual visit, we’re going to meet Dalai Lama on Friday,” Shriver said.

Wife of famous Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger has quite a sense of humour, when it comes to talking about her leading man.

“The Governor (Arnold) has talked about wanting to come here to India. My family has been involved with Olympics and India for long. In November he may visit India. Many Indians come to California to work so we have a very strong relationship with India so he definitely wants to come, has to win re-election first,” said Shriver.

While it’s the first time that Shriver’s has visited India, it’s not all just fun and games that has been keeping here occupied in the country.

She is scheduled to meet Sonia Gandhi on Friday after which she would be off to Dharamshala, to meet the Tibetian Dalai Lama.
