Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black literally blinding the awards ceremony by bagging some of the most popular awards

Blackout at IIFA
The Best Actor award went to Amitabh Bachchan for Black. Rani Mukherjee won the Best Actress award and child star Ayesha Kapur bagged the award for the Best Supporting Role. Sanjay Leela Bhansali walked away with the Best Director award.


The Boss
Junior Bachchan too was lauded for his powerful performance in the Indian version of The Godfather, Sarkaar, directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He took home the award for the Best Supporting Actor.

Eggjacktly
Javed Jaffrey was given the award for the Best Comic Role in Salaam Namaste for his portrayal of an NRI in Australia who’s English leaves a lot to be desired.


Nasal King
He may be accused for singing through his nose and his songs may all sound the same, but the fact is that Himesh Reshammiya walked away with the award for the Best Male Singer for Aashiq Banaya Apne.
