Actor Upen Patel has recently been surrounded by controversies but they don’t seem to bother him. He has learnt not to react to such events and besides, he also has some big banner movies lined up for release. In Suneel Darshan’s next venture, Upen plays the protagonist of a gay character. There were rumors that director Raj Kanwar was displeased with the actor. But, Upen clarifies saying, “Raj is not upset with me and I didn’t ditch him for any other director.


We are planning something big and I am looking forward to it.� Speculations were also doing rounds that Upen walked out of Vipul Shah’s next film. Upen clearly denies any of this to be true and insists he is definitely doing Vipul’s movie. “He has offered me a parallel lead with Akshay in his film. So, I would be stupid not to do it,� adds Patel.
