The Thursday schedule had a 5-minute shot where ‘Umrao Jaan’ (Aishwarya) had to throw away a ring given to her by her lover (in the film!) Abhishek . The reason ? The two had decided to get married (in the film!!) and Abhishek had given her a ring . But the news of Abhishek’s engagement/marriage (in the film!!!) makes her furious and she throws away the ring .


According to our sources , present at Raja Mehmoodabad’s Palace (where it is being shot), the short scene required 20 retakes and about 3-4 hours, before it was canned to the satisfaction of the makers.
