Amrita Rao has played the girl next door in most of her films and it seems she does not want to change this image. Recently the actress was offered a role in a Yash Raj film opposite none other than newcomer Ranbir Kapoor. The film will be directed by Siddharth Anand. However though Amrita was eager to work with the prestigious Yash Raj banner, she ended up turning down the film as she did not want to do a kissing scene.

Amrita even met director Siddharth and asked the director if they could do without the kissing scene in the film, however the director claimed that it was not possible to do away with the kiss as it was an integral part of the film. Hence Amrita had no option but to say no to the film. Amrita Rao is not the only actress who has a no kissing on-screen policy, Ayesha Takia too follows the same rule and she too had to let go off a few films due to her policy. In recent times actress Aishwarya Bachchan too it seems after marriage has decided not to do sexy roles and kissing scenes. Well, we’ll just have to wait and watch whose gain, Amrita’s loss will be.
