With the partnership between Amitabh Bachchan and Ram Gopal Verma (RGV) in tatters after the debacle of AAG, plans have now been put in motion to revive the marraige, by bringing in the aid of a Khan.

Industry insiders have revealed that Ram Gopal Verma has been in contact with Abhishek Bachchan who has persuaded his father to change his mind and work with RGV once again. Amitabh was very upset with the final product that was supposed to be the Sholay remake. The film has proven to be the biggest disaster this decade. RGV has promised Abhishek that if he manages to bring his father around, then RGV will make the next flick a world-wide smash hit. And he will do this by bringing in either Saif Ali Khan or Salman Khan for a substantial role.

Amitabh listened to the idea, pondered over it for a few hours, and then agreed. The film is titled Cobra and is rumoured to be about the Indian Secret Service Agency. Apart from either Saif or Salman, the film will have both Amitabh and Abhishek in pivotal roles.

According to reliable sources, “Amitabh Bachchan was always very sceptical about Aag and throughout the making of the film he was unsure of his role in the film. Amitabh’s worst fear came true when the film was rejected outright by the critics as well as the audience. But both have decided to put the controversy behind and move on. Both Ramu and Bachchan have decided to go ahead and announce another film together. And quickly. The film has been titled Cobra and will also star Abhishek Bachchan who apparently loved Ramu’s version of Sholay.”

Adds our source, “Although Big B has given dates to Ramu in January, don’t be surprised it the two announce the film immediately and start shooting by next month. By announcing Cobra, they are planning to refute the rumours that Bachchan is unhappy with Aag. Cobra will also have one of the leading Khans playing a vital role. The name is yet to be finalised.”
