Saif Ali Khan returned to Mumbai from South Africa around 1 am on Sunday morning and went for rehearsals directly from the airport. He was there at the MMRDA grounds till 4 am. He attended rehearsals again at 1 pm. Later, in the evening, he complained of chest pains. He was supposed to attend a film award function in the city, but couldn’t do so.


Rosa got him admitted to Lilavati Hospital later in the evening. His sister Soha joined him later. The results are in. Saif had a clot in his heart.

Siddharth Anand, Saif’s close friend and director of ‘Hum Tum’, informs us, “Saif basically had a small clot in his heart which has already been dissolved with medicines,” and added, “But he’s absolutely fine now. It happened largely due to stress. He may be discharged by tomorrow morning. Anyone who is out of the hospital should take it a little easy and I guess Saif will be doing the same.”
