The premiere of Shootout At Lokhandwala became the venue of a high profile hide-n-seek game for the case of the film. Viveik Oberoi and Abhishek Bachchan avoided bumping into each other and so did Salman Khan, who came in to watch his brother Arbaaz’s performance. It looked like the stars strategically planned their entries and exits in such a manner that they did not get to face each other or allow the media lensmen an opportunity to capture them together in one frame.
Viveik, who plays an important role in the film, came in first for the premiere. After speaking to the media present and posing for photographs, Viveik made way into one of the six screens at the multiplex to watch his film.
Just then Salman entered with the entire Khan clan — Arbaaz with wife Malaika, Sohail with his wife Seema and sister Alvira with actor hubby Atul Agnihotri, as well as younger sister Arpita. Sallu’s brother Arbaaz plays a crucial role in Shootout and the doting brother that he is, he stayed till the end of the film. Abhishek soon entered, greeted the makers, met good friend and director of Shootout… Apoorva Lakhia and left quickly.
As soon as Abhishek left, Viveik came out of the hall and left the venue. Salman chose to remain inside the hall even during the interval. When we asked Sohail what was the reason for that, he assured us, “Don’t worry I will get bhai (Salman) out once the film is over.”
But nothing of the sort happened as Salman left from the backdoor. Insiders present at the venue said, “This was bound to happen. None of them wanted to be in any uncomfortable situation and get captured on camera in that position.” However, the one common factor binding them, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, was not present at the event.
