Director, producer, actor, singer, dancerâ?¦the list is simply endless. His debut film as an actor, Rock On set new records, and he received accolades for his performance.

Farhan Akhtar: hey dev. we had hoped for this but one can never be absolutely sure. I am very thankful about the outcome.
Raghu: hi..How are you feeling after the success of Rock On?
Farhan Akhtar: I feel relieved, happy, re charged, and very excited for the entire team of the film especially Abhishek.
Ahmad: hi Farhan, in Rock On whose role do you u like.
Farhan Akhtar: well mine first. Thatâ??s why I did it. But i believe everybody had a great part to portray and thatâ??s what makes the film special on the performance level.
Farha: hii farhan! Howâ??s it going? How does it feel now that ROCK ON is a big success? We are waiting for DON 2! When will DON 2 release?
Farhan Akhtar: Hi farha. We intend to start filming Don, end of next year so 2010 for release.
Ricky: hi farhan ur acting was awesome in ROCK On, so, whatâ??s ur next project on acting front?
Farhan Akhtar: hi Ricky. My next film as an actor is Luck by Chance, which should be releasing in Jan -Feb of next year. My co-actors are Konkona, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Isha Shravani, Juhi Chawla, and of course…. Hrithik Roshan!
Dhanu: what will you continue acting or direction?
Farhan Akhtar: both dhanu. Both! Donâ??t want to be categorized one way or the other. And I feel creative expression should be free to find its release

Farhan Akhtar: very pleasant working with Prachi. She is a sincere with immense talent. And of course being pretty helps.

Farhan Akhtar: No prayash. I wish it were. But hands are full with work. Someday…. someday….
Ricky: farhan, how u manage 3 roles together acting and singing and producer?
Farhan Akhtar: the production was handled by Ritesh, my partner at Excel. All I had to do was to focus on my role.

Farhan Akhtar: well the concerts were a total blast! The jams with the crowd in the breaks… Purab losing his beard, as he jumped into the lake ha ha ha.

Farhan Akhtar: no. I’ll leave that to the experts. This album was very much created only for this film and my singing worked well in this context.

Farhan Akhtar: It was the directors. He wanted the band to be a real band and not some fake sing along to somebody else’s voice variety. He was right in his belief. It makes the experience a lot more real

Farhan Akhtar: Rock doesnâ??t involve writing in too flowery language. Lyrics tend to connect easily with the listener… plus it is an introduction to this new sound to the Film listener… so we decided to keep it simple.
Shiva: hi farhan..What are the complications that you have faced during the making of Rock On?
Farhan Akhtar: hi Shiva. Once I could not find my way to a studio in Malad. I got lost. We had a great time.
Sarah Bari: did you know that it has set the new trend in bollywood? What u say?
Farhan Akhtar: Hi Sara. I am glad if it has. But these things happen by themselves, there is nothing one can do to make it happen.

Ankit chauhan: sir. I am a 21 yr old student. I consider u as my idol since DCH and have been following ur work…what does it take to be a good scriptwriter or a director for that matter?
Farhan Akhtar: Thatâ??s a tough one Ankit. As a scriptwriter, i would think have something to say. It is important for a bit of who you are to seep into your work. Your opinion on whatever the subject matter is. As a director, there are too many ways to approach it… that you will have to figure out for yourself. Film school or apprenticeship.

Farhan Akhtar: The part and script just felt right and something inside me told me that I would regret not doing this film, hence the decision.

Farhan Akhtar: The production designer is a man named Shashank Tere and the cinematographer is a man named Jason West. The costumes are done by Niharika Khan and hair by B:blunt.

Farhan Akhtar: hello yea… No i don’t stop to think about it. It is important for me to do what I believe in and the fact I get to collaborate with some amazing talent helps me believe that they too see it the way i do.

Farhan Akhtar: Hi Krishna. I have never been averse to the thought of acting but these last few years have been right in terms of the scripts offered and my self belief to pull them off. It is important to know when you are ready and not get into things early just for the sake of it.

Farhan Akhtar: Apart from my family, i have been very inspired by the work of directors in the past. It makes me feel very responsible in my choices as I am working in the same medium as they had.

Farhan Akhtar: Hi Dhanu. My favorite scene from the film is when Shahana comes to my house and talks to me about the difference between Joe and myself. It touches me every time. She is outstanding in the film and that scene in particular.
