This must be one of the rarest occurrences not just in the world, but also the universe… so much so that even the ‘rarely-found’ UFOs and Halley’s Comet must be suffering from a huge complex! We are referring to the ‘Joint-Birthday’ bash at the ‘Khanna’ residence today, as Daddy Rajesh Khanna, today, celebrates his birthday with his darling daughter Twinkle Khanna nee Kumar.
Often referred to as ‘Kaka’ in Bollywood, Rajesh Khanna started his silver screen’s career with Akhri Khat, but rose to dizzying heights with his trademark style, in films like Do Raaste, Aradhana, Awara Baap, Kati Patang, Sachaa Jhutha, Ghar Ka Chirag, etc…to name a few. His ‘rendition’ of ‘Babu Moshai’ and ‘Pushpa…I hate tears’ have graduated from being mere dialogues to evergreen iconic statements! Rajesh Khanna is one of the original superstars who led Bollywood into its way of international glory, fame and recognition! He couldn’t have asked more to life than having got a gorgeous wife like Dimple Kapadia, an illustriously beautiful daughter Twinkle Khanna and a dutiful son-in-law Akshay Kumar! Even though Kaka was in the news for ‘faithfully’ wrong reasons of late, he still remains our true-blue hero that Bollywood has ever seen!

MANY MANY HAPPY RETURN OF FIRST SUPERSTAR OF INDIAN CINEMA.
Super Star Rajesh Khanna – An actor par excellence
On his sixty sixth birthday on 29-12-2008, I may highlight some inner capabilities of the FIRST & REAL SUPER STAR OF INDIAN CINEMA as a most refined actor, rather, an actor par excellence, which I have experienced for the last four decades through his outstanding performances. These are in addition to his classic facial expressions which emerge effortlessly on his face and the style and arrogance brought by him on the silver screen. The rigorous use of his voice to communicate a character’s lines and express emotion, which he achieved through attention to diction and projection through correct breathing and articulation. It has also achieved by him through the tone and emphasis that an real actor puts on words. Characterization/Physicalisation of a role in order to create a believable character for the audience and to use the acting space appropriately and correctly. Use of gesture to complement the voice, interact with other actors and to bring emphasis to the words in a play, as well as having symbolic meaning.
