Maverick film-maker Ram Gopal Varma returns to the horror format with PHOONK 2, the sequel to the successful PHOONK, which opens this Friday. In fact, the forthcoming Friday also marks the release of Ahmed Khan and his wife Shaira’s film production debut PAATHSHAALA, which features Nana Patekar, Shahid Kapoor and Ayesha Takia Azmi in key roles. While there’s no similarity between PAATHSHAALA and PHOONK 2, since the two films belong to different genres, RGV is confident that PHOONK 2 would not get overpowered by the stars in the other film [PAATHSHAALA].
