Great, so now Hrithik Roshan too has made an entry into the elite ‘100 crore’ club. With Agneepath crossing the milestone and still raking in moolah, Hrithik may well be relieved that he has got the ‘100 crore’ worth monkey off his back and that too at a much younger age. With only the top three Khans and Ajay Devgn managing this feat before Hrithik, the club may have seemed rather exclusive to begin with.

Now this is hardly a subtle announcement that an actor could ever boast of making. Emraan Hashmi, who has now emerged as industry’s much accepted blue eyed boy, is challenging none less than Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar and that too in their own territory. His Shanghai finally has a release plan in sight and it is now entering the battlefield which was otherwise left open for Talaash and Rowdy Rathore .

If you read some of the headlines marked in bold below, you may be questioning – What the f*** is Chandan Roy Sanyal smoking? Well, let me tell you – this man smokes movies. Yes, he is on a trip post the release of FALTU

The way one associates ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ to Aamir Khan and ‘Bad Man’ with Gulshan Grover, the veteran actor-filmmaker Manoj Kumar has always been called as ‘Bharat’. And what could be more apt an occasion for him to be conferred with the Lifetime Achievement honour than on the eve of India’s Republic Day! The award will be given to him at the Apsara Awards ceremony by ‘The Film And Television Producers Guild of India’ (headed by Ramesh Sippy), in an event that is to be held at Yash Raj Studios.

On Monday evening, a fire broke out on the sets of Aamir Khan’s upcoming reality TV show at Vrindavan Studio, Madh Island. Luckily, Aamir wasn’t present on the sets at the time the fire broke out. The cause for the fire was an electrical spark caused by a short circuit.

Youngster Vinay Virmani has a reason to smile.
It’s December and along with the merry spirit of Christmas, its time for the Tax Department to take stock. Last year, it was Akshay Kumar who topped the tax payers list in Bollywood with the highest amount in taxation.

The Dirty Picture has netted Rs. 50 crores in one week flat which is a feat that has not been accomplished by any women-centric film in the history of Indian cinema.

Ranbir Kapoor wants to play humble and being honest. Even as euphoria continues to build around Rockstar and one waits to see whether the young actor along with director Imtiaz Ali indeed manage to create the kind of magic on screen which is expected out of them, Ranbir is willing to acknowledge that he is not (yet) a superstar that some around him want him to believe. This stems from the fact that he is still awaiting a fixed slot for arrival of his films on festive occasions, something that the top superstars in Bollywood have already staked their claim on.
Kalki Koechlin has come a long way after making a sensational debut as Chanda in Anurag Kashyap’s modern interpretation of Devdas, two years back in Dev D.

The other day when I was penning my thoughts on the amazing journey of Katrina Kaif over the years, a thought crossed my mind – ‘What is indeed the state of affairs in Bollywood that every second biggie which gets launched has either Kareena Kapoor or Katrina Kaif as their first choice?’.

Aamir Khan was fined Rs.100 for driving into a no-entry zone on Sunday.

Just a few days back we had reported how Aazaan was naming China as India’s main enemy instead of Pakistan. Well, seems quite a few out there have noticed these developments as well, most notably being the Censor Board, which has objected to this accusation.
Akshat Verma who made his pen proud with some smart writings in Aamir Khans productions modern cult comedy Delhi Belly has now been booked by UTV to pen a comic thriller…

After denying the rumours that Katrina Kaif was to play the lead role in Dhoom 3, and albeit an extensive hunt for a new face for the leading lady, which included international aspirants as well, Yash Raj Films is now pleased to announce and confirm that Katrina will play this role. Dhoom: 3 director, Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor), along with Aditya Chopra, has made this choice after considerable deliberations

Of late I have seen an interesting trend growing, especially when it comes to ‘Reflections’ that has been centred on a Khan or a Kumar or a Devgn or a Roshan. A column on Salman Khan sees Shah Rukh Khan fans coming out in full support

In Part II of this special feature, we had a look at Akshay Kumar’s not-so-impressive middle innings followed by a revival that brought him in an altogether different bracket. Now in this third and concluding part, here is detailing Akshay’s golden innings followed by a turnaround in progress.
So here’s Mahie Gill’s wish list – Working with Ajay Devgn, Imtiaz Ali, Madhur Bhandarkar, travelling to Kerela and Ireland and drinking that famous Irish stout called Guiness and the most important wish – her big dream that she still hasn’t seen. It’s hard to believe Mahie feels invisible with all her larger than life wish list. Her presence cuts through the atmosphere without her saying anything

‘I am with Anna’ – That’s the cry which is fast catching momentum over the last fortnight at the least. ‘I am with Mahesh Bhatt’ – This is pretty much my stand currently. No, it isn’t about whether Bhatt is pro, anti or neutral towards Anna’s march and whether I support him or not

Shah Rukh Khan is now all set to make the term ‘Putting yourself into someone else’s shoes’ come true, in true sense of the word. Here’s the deal – SRK’s Red Chillies Idiot Box and UTV Stars (UTV’s new channel) have come together with a show called ‘Live My Life’. The concept of the show is that a film actor will choose his or her craziest fan, who will be picked up from anywhere like schools, colleges or even social networking sites

Is Aamir Khan the new Munnabhai? Has he replaced Sanjay Dutt in the hugely popular and successful film franchise?

What’s common between Singham, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Murder 2 and Double Dhamaal, four films that have released in quick succession? The obvious one is that each of them has turned out to be huge money spinner at the box office.

‘The Mantally The Sock The Bwoyz’ – Or so went one of the most hilarious lines from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which is currently seeing some fantastic footfalls from the audience at which the film was targeted it. With good appreciation and steady collections coming in, this Zoya Akhtar film has turned out to be yet another ‘Bwoyz will be Bwoyz’ film that has found a connect with the youth belonging to both genders. And to think of it, this isn’t the only ‘boys’ film which has done well at the box office this year.
