Sanjay Dutt, whose first production Rascals is due for release next week, is all set to go on floor with his second production which is the remake of 1982’s Satte Pe Satta, in December. Satte Pe Satta will be directed by Soham Shah, who has earlier made Kaal and Luck. Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Heroine has been in news for weeks, owing to the change of the leading lady of the film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being replaced by Kareena Kapoor. Last heard, Ash had returned the signing amount of the film to the producers
The unpleasant Heroine episode is all but forgotten. Though it’s unlikely that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will work with Madhur Bhandarkar in the near future, the process of patching up with UTV, the production house which was to produce Heroine, has begun.
Madhur Bhandarkars cherished project, Heroine that was to feature Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came to a standstill with the news of Aishwaryas pregnancy. The director is said to have put in all his effort in this project, and his approaches to other actresses went in vain….
If there is one question which is haunting the makers of Heroine (read: Madhur Bhandarkar and UTV), it is – ‘Why didn’t Ash inform them in advance about her pregnancy before giving her nod of approval to the film?’ “Ash is four months pregnant and it was during April when Madhur Bhandarkar had first approached her formally for the film. Only when she said ‘yes’ was Heroine announced in the month of May. Since Ash already knew about her pregnancy then, it is strange that she still went ahead with the film”, says a source.
