Portraying his first-ever-gangster role in Balaji Motion Pictures’ Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again , Imran Khan is drawing inspiration from films in the 80’s given that the film is set back in the day. The actor has been watching a lot of Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff films like Mashaal and Ram Lakhan to get under the skin of his character and to understand the old-school mannerisms and styling of characters that belong to that era. Says Imran Khan, “Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again is a period film..So the characters had to fit in correctly…I watched a lot of films from the 80’s,including the ones with Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff in them to understand how things were back then”
